Just the usual discolorations and scratches from use over time. Slight water spots but no real water damage, i.e. water did not wet through into the inside. Nothing a good leather restoration expert could not make up nicely.Also does not smell musty inside. Just the usual smell of an old suitcase. All the correct old brass locks and snaps intact. Comes with a correct key, too. Look is just rusted in and needs oil. Also retains the original LV leather handle which has become a bit flabby, though.The measurements are: 70cm x 45cm x 21cm I have not touched the piece any more than dusting it. I am not a restoration expert, and I know better than to mess with such a beautiful antique. Some details about the piece: Nails and tacks are stamped with Louis Vuitton. Interior original cloth is in great condition—minimal staining for its age. The pics definately exaggerate the stains. It looks much more clean in the real word. The trunk has a label of Louis Vuitton authenticity with a faded serial number next to it on the inside of the lid. Overall, a functioning and beautiful antique pigskin suitcase made by the classic Louis Vuitton. This is a great piece to continue your travels with or use as an accent to your home.
