This trunk is unusual because of its size only the very wealthy owned large steamer trunks. This is in very good condition considering its age and the destinations it went to. It measures 48  Inches long    25.5  inches wide  27.5  inches tall. The trunk has aged well and has a great patina the colr is a light grayish tan there is a crack on the top of the lid as shown in the pictures but in no way takes away from this magnificent trunk. The linen lined interior is in great shape with light pink lines it has the origional pink ribbon up top also the origional tray in great condition. The origional tag is on the inside of the lid with the serial #49385 the label is in perfect shape. The trunk is nice and tight with all the slots in place and tight along with the metal end caps. The hinges and locks and handles are all hallmarked as well as the rivets holding them on. The rivets read Louis Vuitton the side handles read LV. Hinges and lock hallmarked Louis Vuitton.
